Juicer…..?
I want to buy this model, but 2 users on Epinions.com are reporting that the Omega 8005 has a defect where it grinds plastic particles into the juice. I guess if you run the machine without putting anything in for a couple minutes, according to the reviews, "the rotating auger grinds against the juicing insert actually scraping off trace amounts of the plastic." Can anyone dispel this?
If you have a better model to recommend, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I had a juice man juicer and had that same problem. If you plan to use the juicer often, I use mine most everyday I would highly recommend get the Breville juice fountain elite. This will never breakdown I’ve had mine for 2yrs with no problem and I do some heavy duty juicing. Here’s a link to the juicer, but I would look on eBay as far as buying, I got mine brand new at a good price and those other juicers are really not meant for long hall but just a casually . Here’s the linkhttp://www.brevilleusa.com/products/800jexl/index.jsp?sku=800jexl&cID=231&pID=1&pvID=1 hope it helps.
